Strategy

Patton Investments looks for investment opportunities in areas that are either overlooked, overcrowded, or too complicated for the mainstream investment community.
We use a multi-strategy framework, closely monitoring global markets including currencies, commodities, bonds, and equities to formulate a "macro" view of what's hot and over-hyped versus what's cheap and underrated in the world. We then use this macro view to develop portfolios that have a potential for high-level returns.
The way we do this is by finding arbitrage situations, or, said another way, mispricings between correlated securities. These mispricings arise either because of complexity, small size, or just plain old market irrationality. These opportunities are ripe for those with the expertise to discover and understand them. At Patton Investments, we develop portfolios of these arbitrage situations by using our highly analytical proprietary models that have been tested and retested for over 10 years. Our goal is to generate stable returns in most investment climates, with minimal risk.
We wish we could be more forthcoming with information about our specific strategies, but as an unregistered investment advisor, we are limited as to what we can disclose. To that end, we can disclose what we are not, strictly for informational purposes. We are not financial planners, nor do we offer tax or estate-planning advice. We are not traditional investment advisors. We do not offer any products or services to the general public nor do we advertise. We are not stock pickers nor traditional value investors. We are not momentum traders. We are not high-frequency traders.
In general, we are an opportunistic firm that moves capital in and out of niche investment strategies in an opportunistic way for the benefit of our private portfolios and consulting clients.
